I decided to make soymilk today, so I had to soak the beans over last night. The weather seems to be making up for being warmer than usual, this winter, by being colder than usual the past week or so. This means I have to turn on the faucet in the kitchen so the water won't freeze and bust the pipe, because when it gets down to the high teens or low twenties, since I don't heat the pad, its slim walls does bring the temperature to below freezing, inside. So, I pictured getting up today and finding the soaked soybeans frozen solid. What to do? Well, by regularly tracking the daily use of electricity, I realized the refrigerator uses lots less in the cold weather---aha! I put the soaking beans INSIDE it, because it would stay WARMER than the OUTSIDE that's INSIDE my dwelling! There's got to be a larger---Infinite?---lesson here. Maybe I ended up living in this thin-walled abode due to the living fact that I've always had thin skin, as well as being a thin body type. Thin is as thin DOES! Not only THAT, but I realized that I erred grammatically with the blog title, "Guess What?" Guess what is wrong. The title is not a QUESTION, but a DEMAND, an INJUNCTION, a COMMAND! As a matter of fact, it's a perfect example of the way the living language, English, mimics math, as it evolves to always try to say more by using less words. "Guess What!" is short for "Make a guess!" or "Take a guess!" As I did write the other day, it is true that this is a command that permeates our reality. Indeed, by dint of reading this or DOING anything, one is always acting as the GUESS WORKER! That's the PROGRAM! The "Program?" We have arrived at the elegant fork in the road of life---to guess is to CHOOSE! Alive AS Consciousness, we must act AS choice-MAKERS, AS what we are, AS One who acts by taking CHOICES. So, Guess Workers of the world---UNITE! Play the ongoing Guessing Game with full---FULL!---Consciousness, always Self AWARE! Double down on 'your' self-awareness, by always being awake about it all---It-All! It turns out that, as usual, we can Understand this in bubble, er, double terms, just as can be DONE with anything. Plato gave us at least two basic commands. First, consider this-- "Therefore, Plato put over the entrance to his Academy the words: Ageometretos medeis eisto! 'Let no one who has not grasped the mathematical enter here!' (Note the fact that this is a---COMMAND! My comment) These words do not mean that one must be educated in only one subject--'geometry'--but that he must grasp that the fundamental condition for the proper possibility of knowing is the knowledge of the fundamental presuppositions of all knowledge and the position we take based on such knowledge. A knowledge that does not build its foundation knowledgably, and thereby takes its limits, is not knowledge but mere opinion (Yikes! Tikes on Bikes---'opinion' shitters, and all pundits are hereby NAILED!) The mathematical, in the original sense of learning what one already knows, is the fundamental presupposition of 'academic' work. This saying over the Academy thus contains nothing more than a hard condition and a clear circumscription of work. Both have had the consequence that we today, after two thousand years, are still not through with this academic work and never will be as long as we take ourselves seriously" From "Basic Writings", page 254, the 1936 chapter, "Modern Science, Metaphysics, and Mathematics" by Heidegger By the by, an interview with Newt Gingrich in today's opinionjournal.com, included a key realization by the ex-Speaker, that the powerful leaders and their followers must be---SELF AWARE! "We---are still not through with this academic work and never will be as long as we take ourselves seriously" is the operative SENTENCE, imho. The 'work' is to always 'take ourselves seriously'. NOW, we can note that it's no surprise that a German, a dour race, would opt for 'seriously', eh? However, we are always on the ---TAKE! What he really means, I think, is that we are served to Infinity as long as we 'take' our REAL Selves, AS Infinity, Seriously! This correlates to one of my Eternal themes, that people are acting frivolously, taking themselves way to loosely, by forgetting their inherence in, and AS IT-ALL. Get, and act, with ONE seriousness---there is Only-God, who is You! That's a serious Realization, with which One can playfully laugh and dance, forever. What about the second Plato gift? "Know thyself!" Well, yet again we can double-time this. On the CW level, you have myriad 'self help' methods, from psychotherapy to whatever, and here the demand is to find out all you can about this conventional self, and act---ACT in choosing---is congruence with this NOW known self: ergo, happiness in harmony: the best this-world harmonic convergence. On the Only-God hand, "Know thyself!" is a paradoxical koan, because it's Really and Truly impossible to 'know' your 'self', the little 20 watts egoic self. We already know that to know anything, there must be a split, with a knower, a knowing and a known. Thus, by taking to Infinity the demand to know thyself, by seriously trying and trying as intently as possible, the only result can be the un-knowing of this self! Nobody home---ALONE! That's the Ultimate Harmonic Convergence! Mark Steyn expanded on his TAKE on the dominance of demography over other dimensions of reality in shaping the future, and noted that it's the WHO that trumps what, where, why, when and how. This prompts me to take, seriously, the "Guess what!" admonition, to a higher level, as "Guess WHO!" Now, for decades I've randomly joked with kids with the "Guess what!" command. When you say, "Guess what!", they almost always say "What?" And, you instantly respond by saying "You guessed it!" Do you get it? NOW I think about it, it is possible to use who, where, why, what, when and how in the "Guess" command. So, what about "Guess who!" This instantly reminds me of that other children's game, "Knock, Knock"---"Who's there?" We can use this to Understand a lot about all the entertainment in the CW noosphere, particularly stories that involve bad guys who---WHO!---can hurt and kill you---YOU! Here, again, we have the self-other split doing its dirty laundry duty, so the CW "Guess who!" demand is stuck on the spinning wheel of the split. There is, though, always the option to take---TAKE!---the serious Only-God fork, and CHOOSE to guess---Only God! Behind, and AS every conventional 'who', the little self, is the big SELF, AS It-All. This reminds me of the theme in Huxley's book, Island, which had a life-changing effect on moi---he had these tropical birds regularly saying, "Be here now!" Oops. I just checked the book, and "the mynah birds reiterated their good advice. 'Attention, Karuna.'" (Page 294 in my paperback) The latter word is from India, and means "compassion". Hmm. I'm tempted to reread this book! I did want to explore the sentential trinity: statements, questions and commands. Huxley calls the bird sounds, 'good advice'. This doesn't seem to be inn the form of a command, but more like an offering of a---CHOICE. Yes, now I remember. The repetition of 'attention, Karuna', was meant to help the characters return to the profundity of Only-God, as they invariably got entangled in the Triple World: the author's way of pointing out that one should stay in the True moment---indeed, be here now! As far as the three forms of a sentence goes, each one is essentially the same---an offering to make a choice. This finally ends by noting that snake-biting-its-tail realization, that not to make a choice is still making a choice. So, for a gross example, "Eating is" will do the tricky dicking of us. Being IS! Any sentence, what any sentence points to, and anything transcending any sentence---It-All is always residing in CHOICE. I say, Choose It-All! It-All IS Choosing! Choosing and It-All are ONE!

The past week, I've enjoyed what Jay Cost has written at realclearpolitics.com. Today's piece goes into enlightening detail that is one with my petulant Understanding about the dire state of people's brainwashing. I particularly appreciated the way he undressed pundits. The whole noospheric political game is proof positive of the Divine Humor of this relative reality! The other day I wrote about how children finally escape the schooling that essentially beats them up with the prime commandment, "PAY ATTENTION!" And, here comes Cost, with the transparent TRUTH--- the very polling we are currently suffering under is basically an extension of that painful schooling. That is, to ask someone their OPINION rests on the assumption that they---are PAYING ATTENTION! And, here's another thing. Inevitably following the attention grabbing core value MUST come---testing! Part and essential PARTIAL of any worthy form of noosphere has to do with---KNOWING! Do you KNOW what I mean? And, lookee here-now---we find the word MEAN! We are locked in the second form away from the body, at least. The main point of this paragraph, though, is that pollsters are teachers-in-drag. That is, when they pose their questions of their victims, it's as if the poor suckers are back in school, taking another TEST. And we all KNOW what that MEANS, don't we? As good members of the human race that has chosen the SENTENCE that always is a TRIAL, in some form or OTHER, the eternal 'student' wants to pass---thus, as Cost puts it, they don't want to look dumb, in early polls, and here comes a non-opinion opinion. Right. I get it. ANY poll is just one more multiple-choice test! And, what's the first rule, when you don't lose points for being wrong? Just GUESS! And there you have another way to Understand the human race. Having chosen to play any SPLIT, life is a 24/7 GUESSING game! Moment by moment, it's a mysterious dance with GUESSED steps, made up as you go. I guess this is so. Is that a good or bad GUESS? Ha Ha. It might be useful to partition Americans into the great unwashed masses who are NOT pundits, and the pundits. You could call the former the consumers and the latter the producers of---what? Well, the bulk of us most of the time are only faking it, believing we are not puppets, when it comes to our political beliefs, so the most productive busy beavers in the pundocracy are there to furnish the opinions and beliefs. This is of a piece with conventional religion, also, with the priestly class = pundits, and the parishoners = non-pundits. All this is almost enough to make me weep. Also, It-All brings me back to the hoary social 'DIS-EASE' verity---we always get the government we deserve. Aha---there it is, AGAIN: the very Universe conspires to make us HAPPY! The DESIRE manifests as a hidden CONSPIRE, after It-All. After It-All? The conspiracy, which is secretly playing out, is that, as split-off selves, the essence of any DESIRE is to go AFTER It-All, to find It-All and hug It-All until complete immersion results in Union with It-All, AS It-All. That's some AFTER---SAVE!
There are THREE---the first number---things to keep in mind. First, as Charles DeGaulle put it, "There are many indispensable men in graves", or something like this. Second, Dick Cheney is the VICE president. Third, the person in this office is---SPIT! Do you get the ongoing wrapping-around humor of It-All? For too long, CW relegated vice presidents to 'spittoons', essentially. Then, along came presidents who SUPPOSEDLY gave them more POWER. Ouch! Short-term memory forces us to attend to the sickoo, Al Gore! And, what do you know! Consciousness must NOW have to deal with Dick Cheney and all his fax paus! Well, have we ever had a more pertinent example of It-All, in that the VP of 2006 has a heart problem, and could choose to change his regime? Here's my best bet, as of NOW. For everyone's sake, Cheney will attack his own HEART, in order to FORCE GWB to choose another new VP, hopefully, IMHO, Condi Rice. I know. Too much hope is sure to be disappointed. However, IF this person---who is already TOO MUCH!---did become president, just imagine! Me, I'm still thrilled by the Margaret Thatcher miracle, so just think what a shock it would be for the people of earth if Rice were to become president. Oh, I remember my REAL number three point. We have almost three long years until the next crucial presidential election. A Cheney with a heart problem? The best choice HE could make is to step aside, and let GWB groom his successor, eh? Well, as we currently live with Bush's father's choice to keep Quayle as VP, and some (Noonan) write that GWB will throw Cheney aside, for the good of American, AND THE WORLD, me, as Cheney's near peer, I "hope" for him to DIE in office, so that ….

Carrots and sticks in the craw The pope who recently died famously said, "Be not afraid." Who was he talking to? As I've bored you with more times than I can count---I DON'T count, such a nothing am I---the core Truth about each of us assumed separate humans is that we are ALL soldiers in the Big Splitting WAR. And, what's the core impulse that drives any actual warrior, such as those who died on Okinawa? Despite feeling FEAR, which is absolutely normal, do your duty! So, we can take the pope's advise in this respect---every instant of 'your' life, a whole lot of FACING something, which can destroy 'you', is the FACE of It-All. However, just as there's always the dance of Maya, as the appearing Relative world, which depends on the self-other split, the Truth of this is always the Absolute, than which there is no other. Therefore, in Radiant Transcendental terms, "Be not afraid", or its equivalent, "Have no fear", is a command that cannot be followed. Why not? When there is NO split, who is there to talk to? Who does the talking and who can even hear? Thus, Absolutely, "Be not afraid" at the void = nothingness AND form = everything-ness Realizing LEVEL---I'm leveling with 'you', HERE-NOW!---is merely another way = Tao of expressing this God-Realizing FACT. "Be not afraid" pretends to undo the assumed CW fear, as follows---the pope, like the physician who attends a patient with a thorn in his side, sees other people who appear to be in fear. THEN, as a healer, he tries to pluck this fear from anyone wise enough to follow his orders from---GOD. But, I'm afraid I have bad news for 'you'. The other day I exhumed the three-part act of any form of assumed separating and separated and separable life---Identification-Differentiation-Desire. This threeness connected with Heidegger's insight about the first number being---THREE. It-All SEEMS to play Itself like this---all the while that Only-God IS Only-God, in our very human case, a new baby is conceived, and when its umbilical cord is CUT, physically comes a separate ONE. However, it's always a play of, and AS CONSCIOUSNESS, so the kid doesn't kid itself into separation, for a couple of years. You could say that this non-split-up FEELING is a way of remaining in Only-God Bliss, for long enough to get adapted to the coming game---sort of a pre-season tryout camp. Then, at around the age of two, here-now comes the---Identification! The crazy-twos act is manifest proof of THIS! "I am here-now, and you better know it!" (This reminds me of one of my most ecstatic awake dreams. I was roaming around among a large group of APPARENTLY other people, and I kept pointing my finger at my heart, whenever I'd encounter an other and say---"ME", and then point at them, and say, "YOU". After doing this for a while, and getting no response---it was as if they couldn't see me---I had a mini satori experience, and the bliss overwhelmed the entire Conscious dream play: the 'reason' nobody reacted to my "ME"-"YOU" screams was that we weren't Truly split into a ME and any YOU!) Probably right on the heels of choosing to be a separate Identity, comes the impossible-to-miss myriad of others, and this is known as Differentiation. So, all the while there is Only-God, which is prior to NUMBERS, and might be understood as the state of It-All where alpha and omega are not split up, or in which Nothingness as Zero is Transcendentally Identical with Everything-ness as Infinity, the Initial CW split of Identification can be understood as the first appearance of a CW "ONE". With CW Differentiation, we get an instant "TWO". So, with the birth of the CW "ONE", a quick noticing of all that is NOT this self is chosen, and all this not-self can be understood to be the start of "TWO". Depending on how karma goes, from then on a quicker or a slower pace of noticing comes about, and many numbers follow, "THREE", and off we go into---Desire. Let me note the options possible include autism. I wouldn't be surprised if those who Identify with this 'condition' are turned off at the way most normal humans opt for myriad others. Hence, perhaps autistic humans never get past the number "TWO". Who knows, maybe you could understand some mental illness as humans who want to remain at "ONE"---the good old "I am Jesus!" trip. For the Big Splitting bulk of CW humanity, though, after 'maturing' into normalcy as programmed adults in the full fetal position that unfolds as Identification-Differentiation, just as gravity is ubiquitous, must come the permeating DESIRE to re-connect back into the Fullness of Only-God BEING! Therefore, EVERY chosen act is an expression of primitive---DESIRE. The essence of a split-off chosen reality is a FEELING---of Emptiness, non-connection AS It-All. Of course, the chosen body-mind and space-time Reality in this gross Reality offers very limited possibilities, such as wrt sex and diet. NOW, at last, let ME get behind even the Identification-Differentiation-Desire = IDD dance, and display the only card needed. Any space-time a break is made into a self-verses-other scenario, in its wake is chosen FEAR. Indeed, there's not a dime's bit of difference between these two 'PARTIES'! Perhaps you could say that they are Transcendentally---IDENTICAL! So, here's today's Big Banging Drum that will beat 'you' up, and out of your mediocre assumed CW life. Inevitably, in order to pass out of this crunched Reality, any seeker must pass through a crisis of infinite FEAR! NOW, our CW 'normal' play with many others as a self can be described as trying to AVOID the feeling of FEAR, 24/7, by using every means of attention-grabbing available. Food, sex, work, causes, drugs, fame, money, hobbies---you name it! Actually, now I let the mind soar through all time, particularly since humans became human, the sweep of FEAR is very easy to explain, at least its extremes. In FEELING, anyway. When mankind was weak and surrounded by dangerous beasts, there weren't too many distractions, and so in order to survive, living in attentive FEAR was probably what fit them to live and propagate. In our days, in the high tech West, though, we are inundated by---DISTRACTIONS that hide our inherent FEAR. Finally, I can bring to a climax this blog! Fear DRIVES us! Beneath all the 24/7 distractions, naked FEAR is the surviving FIT! We are deeply in a FIT, in a double fashion. Recall that by banishing Shiva and the Devil as change and death, we choose to live in a dualistic Reality, and one of the best ways black-white is used is: Good VERSES Bad = NOT-Good. So, on the one 'hand' of the God-Head, we essentially FEAR the BAD results that could 'happen' to us, to 'our' self, such as loss of love, money, health all the way to death. OTOH, we live in FEAR that we won't 'get' all the GOOD that's possible. We Fear that BAD will happen. We Fear that GOOD will NOT happen. Thus, ultimately, we can see that FEAR is the Real fuel that keeps us---GOING, and GOING, and GOING: our fearsome and fearful life is to KEEP TRYING! Yes, the self-other chosen life is a----TRIAL! When we choose to go the IDD route, it is a karmically chosen 'self'---Sentence! Never could you better use the Communist misuse of the legal system, the "First the Sentence; THEN the Trial"! Paradoxically, also, to bring this word play of SENTENCES that may TRY you to FEARFUL tears to a Transcendentally Happy conclusion, whether any one notices it or not, the very Universe always unfolds exactly as it should, and Absolutely conspires to bring this Ecstatic Realization: the PLAY'S the thing, and the Real Thing is Only-God!

Bless James Q. Wilson for his latest exposition, a devastating and chilling story on the extreme polarization that's made over our politics. What a history lesson! It's here. As I took the slow time to read and ingest this long gem, I consciously approached the end, wondering if he'd have a prediction, or a solution, wrt this BIG SPLIT. I didn't spy anything. Actually, from my biased point of view as a libertarian-conservative type, I'm heartily excited that the BIG SPREAD has worsened, and I expect it to get even more spread out. American citizens, who are woefully mis-educated about economics, especially on the extreme left, and likewise un-wise about politics, are just in dire need of a lesson, a huge slap in their consciousness 'FACE' that will wake them up! Another way of seeing this polarization growth is as an offering, an ongoing PUBLIC OFFERING, and as Wilson noted, what with the huge growth of alternative media to strongly challenge the old guarding MSM leftists, more and more people are---PAYING ATTENTION. So, polarization is---an ATTENTION-GETTING DEVICE! Here's another analogy---with the electoral victory of Hamas, the freedom-loving good guys are expressing solidarity with their enemies, saying they will cut off funding, unless they change their most extreme views. In short, they must take responsibility for what they believe and what they've done and, most vitally, what they will do, if given the tools =$$$. It's essentially the same deal wrt the crazy American Democratic party of 2006---and for it's future, in the way it attempts to win elections, and if in power, to govern. Most distressing in this regard is the extreme memory loss about all the criminal acts of the Clintonistas, for which they never paid the price---no responsibility HERE! I read Thomas Barnett's blog, and today he showed his Democratic colors, by playing the moral equivalence card. He rightfully excoriated the way his party is jumping all over Cheney, and then he bemoans the way Republicans 'used' the Vince Foster mystery to attack Clinton! Man! Talk about 'none are so blind as those who REFUSE to see!' Here's the polarizing non-rosy scenario. The Democrats succeed in winning the White House in 2008, and also manage, with the required assistance of their MSM enablers, take back the Congress---also, in a most polarizing desperate nationwide move, they go ballistic with voter fraud, which does the trick. THEN, they get to try all their appeasing tendencies, in foreign affairs, AND grow government along with raising taxes. Perhaps the inevitable wretched results in lives lost and a depression, thus clearly caused by THEM, is what has to happen to resolve the growing polarization. The right will be sadly able to say, "I told you so!", and those on the left will have to turn around and convert from their suicidal ways. Only this might be clarifying! I always like to use sex to illustrate whatever. In this case, one can understand polarization that's growing as a love-making activity, with both sides getting closer and closer to coming, as they embrace and such. Only, in this case, the polarization is the opposite, as the haters, the left and the right, stretch their 'rubber band' bond so that the American connection gets slimmer and slimmer. What are the options? I'd say that for those on the educated extremes, such as I on the right, the bond long ago snapped. My opposites on the left are, in my opinion, un-American traitors, and there's only one hope---they must repent and turn MY WAY. That's because if they did get their way, America as a free country is over! G Gordon Liddy, on Hannity Colmes, tonight, put it perfectly. The way the over-self-important David Gregory acted was like a spoiled two-year old! There you have it, more proof about my core Understanding about humanity---despite being able to claw to fame and fortune, we are living at the lower stages, and here we have an example of someone exhibiting the characteristics of the FIRST STAGE! Jawohl---the American left are BABIES, and they shamelessly dump their piss an d shit on us: that's what they DO! DO DO! Wah---I want my mommy! It's okay to live in the Here-Now, and let the specific memories of Clinton's depredations, but whenever seeing, hearing, or hearing of this BABY, always apply, cut into his essence, the Scarlet Letter of---NO SHAME! And, make the leap---he's the bleating heart of the Democratic Party! Still---THE SHAME! Thanks Bob Seeger! Yes, the climax of the growing polarization must be to---still THE SHAME! Quiet the damned spot on America's political spectrum!
If you're open-minded, and want a very scary thought-provoking look at a possible Hitler-ite surprise outcome in Iraq, you must read this Lee Harris piece. As someone who spent many hours reading a lot of books about WW II and all things to do with Hitler, what Harris fears rings oh so true. This is one more reason to keep a pessimistic arrow in your defensive mode quiver. What if America is too NICE, and follows the rules to assiduously, and hence does finally prove that bin Laden was correct about her--she's too weak-willed to fight for her freedom. Maybe there will exist some freedom-loving Iraqis who will have learned from German history, and find a way to assassinate this al Sadr jerk, before he copies Hitler and manages to take over Iraq, LEGALLY!

Opininonjournal.com featured a commentary about a NYT piece having to do---MUCH ADO!---with 'crazy' presidents. The ultra-leftists, who not so covertly were trying to skewer Republicans, need to be hoist on their own RETARDED words! IMHO by their words and actions, which get more and more extremely shrill and suicidal, day-by-day, what more proof do you need that it is THEY who truly are mentally ill? In our special popular democracy, we accept that most presidents have to represent the common folk, so if any of them exhibited depression sometimes, or other forms of less-than-perfect mental health, why the same thing must be true for the entire country. And, what's that definition of insanity---if you keep doing the same thing, over and over again, and it always fails: well, the NYT and the MSM are certainly speeding down that insane slope, as witness their dropping profits and readership. Yes---the rats at the top of the MSM heap are choosing to go down with their SHIP! In my view, they perfectly exhibit the aspect of humanity that doesn't allow Shiva or Satan, as change and death, into their consciousness. Let me repeat: the first aspect of the Godhead is the creator God, and He demands Obedience---from Judaism came the Ten Commandments. The second aspect is the savior God, to wit a Jesus and with the noticing that once created, a continuation of 'whatever' literally takes, and IS, space-time, the demand if for Faith. However, the BIG SPLIT in our current CW stops there, and assumes a reality of black AND white, and this banishes the Devil from 'Heaven', or as an aspect of the Godhead. Things also end, cease to be, or just change, and this member of the trinity must be as welcome to consciousness as the other two---and it demands Sacrifice. Here's the Venn diagram story---Sacrifice includes Faith, in a TRANSFORMED way, just as Faith includes Obedience in a TRANSFORMED way. Applied to the MSM, then, this Understanding can shine so brightly, that we can't help but SEE what's essentially going on with it, nowadays. Just like a drunk, who lives in denial about his addiction, and thus can't stop, can't SACRIFICE, the MSM is continuing to be drunk on their waning power, and they can't stop, can't SACRIFICE! Insanity in print, on TV, etc, prevails. Maybe Thomas Barnett's core assumption can fill the gap in our noospheric take on how It-All will happily unfold. Remember the 'paradigm shift' notion? Any currently regnant regime, in whatever dimension, has to die off, live out the ultimate SACRIFICE condition, so that a new generation can Transcend old failing assumptions. Barnett thinks this is the hope for China, and I know this is always the way it goes in science. Allow me to go Infinite, for a moment. One way to put the Absolute is this way--- Separation is BS! Let me lay out the two ways this is so. Our very Reality that is full of many selves and their others must be seen, by a sane person, as Separation. It's the AS that meets the mark. This very Reality, as separation, IS BS! 'Separation' and 'BS' are ONE and the same! NOW, the Enlightening way to use 'Separation is BS', follows infallibly---this translates into the freeing Understanding that the assumed 'Separation' is a lie; it's BS that separation is Absolutely the case! Here's another way to nuke mere Faith that excludes Sacrifice. Pure Faith blooms into myriad Belief System 'flowers. Well, Absolutely, Belief Systems don't CUT IT! Personally, I Totally love the exclamation that uses these words---"X doesn't cut it!" Someone once screamed to me, after I'd apologized about something, that "Sorry doesn't cut it!" So, in this good denial of any belief system, which can be construed as another way of expressing Divine Ignorance, or the Understanding that you don't know what anything is, hello Sacrifice! Also, let's get physical--and mental---any belief system only tries to cut up the One, and this is Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE: ergo, posit any belief system, which is basically a map that attempts to make sense of It-All. The immediate core understanding takes this gapping and gripping try to---NO WAY! Cut out the cutting up---of It-All! NOW, I was pulled back to one of my favorite seminal books, "Laws of Form", by G. Spencer Brown, from 1968. The notes to chapter two apply, CUTTINGLY, to the MSM and all its competitors. Enjoy--- "It may be helpful at this stage to realize that the primary form of mathematical communication (What the MSM is supposed to do) is not description, but injunction. In this respect it is comparable with practical art forms like cookery, in which the taste of a cake, although literally indescribable, can be conveyed to a reader in the form of a set of injunctions called a recipe. Music is a similar art form, the composer does not even attempt to describe the set of sounds he has in mind, much less the feelings occasioned through them, but writes down a set of commands which, if they are obeyed by the reader, can result in a reproduction, to the reader, of the composer's original experience. In his introduction to the TRATUS, Russell expresses what thus seems to be a justifiable doubt in respect of the rightness of Wittgenstein's last proposition when he says 'What cause hesitation is the fact that, after all, Mr. Wittgenstein manages to say a good deal about what cannot be said, thus suggesting to the skeptical reader that possibly there may be some loophole through a hierarchy of languages, or by some other exit' The exit, as we have seen it here, is evident in the injunctive faculty of language. Even natural science appears to be more dependent upon injunction than we are usually prepared to admit. The professional initiation of the man of science consists not so much in reading the proper textbooks, as in obeying injunctions such as 'look down that microscope'. But it is not out of order for men of science, having looked down the microscope, now to describe to each other, and to discuss among themselves, what they have seen, and to write papers and textbooks describing it. Similarly, it is not out of order for mathematicians, each having obeyed a given set of injunctions, what they have seen, and to write papers and textbooks describing it. But in each case, the description is dependent upon, and secondary to, the set of injunctions being obeyed first. When we attempt to realize a piece of music composed by another person, we do so by ILLUSTRATING, to ourselves, with a musical instrument of some kind, the composer's commands." Pages 77-78 Arme Leute! Poor people! When we read the above with the MSM, any talking heads, or journalists in mind, well, we're deep in the unknowing HOLE, aren't we? Why, as exemplified with the hilarious grilling by the White House press corp about Cheney shooting his bud, just when we'd all but forgotten about the old Know Nothing political party, truth must be told---it's alive and very unwell as the MSM! Why, the lunk heads in that profession don't have a clue even about the SOCIAL (disease?) science of economics, let alone any hard science, or God forbid, rigorous mathematics! Talk about Absolutely misguided self-esteem running the country to HELL! Notice the veracity of the above quote, wrt OBEDIENCE and FAITH. So many people have too much FAITH, bordering on insane hubris, which they act upon, in thrall to the thrill of FAME---they OBEY this master! Going for the SELF-glory gold, their god is AMBITION, to which they constantly bow down, in secular OBEDIENCE! There is another part of today's opinionjournal.com column that relates, I think. Apparently the mental health profession has an arm that eschews looking into the past in order to be healed. Well, consider members of the leftwing MSM as sickoos, who are ever busy digging up as much of the past of their opponents that they can MAKE sick, and OTOH busier yet in burying the bad shit of their pals. Interesting piece by Richard Epstein about POWER and the Constitution here. I think this paragraph needs parsing---"On the other side of the ledger, "[t]he President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia when called into actual service of the United States." Note the word "power" appears no where in this sentence. The operative verb is "shall be."" The legal scholar claims to prove that Congress has the POWER, and essentially delegates it to the President, and that Bush has exceeded his mandate in misusing FISA for spying on our enemies. Well, I can play with words, also, so inspect the "shall be" verb that basically HIRES the Prez as Commander in Chief. Well, what does a Commander in Chief DO? His core job description is to DEFEND the country, and he must use the POWER at his disposal! Hence, by BEING designated by the Constitution as the Commander in Chief, the President automatically HAS the POWER! Imagine if it were the opposite. It's impossible to believe that the Constitution, which was famously proclaimed to NOT be a suicide pact, would make the President the CiC, and not also, not only give him all the POWER needed, but NOT allow him to use his discretion, and USE it! Besides, the Imperial Congress, ever since Watergate lowered presidential POWERS, is certainly in POWER, and any president who didn't act accordingly, such as can be seen in many past wars that were NEVER declared, and who went too far in ignoring Congress, can always be impeached! Should be impeached! Anyway, what is the legal solution to this WORD problem? Epstein surely provided one, but I wonder what good would come of more LAWS and more bowing down to Congress would come out of this. Remember, politics is (inherently) evil! What if Bush decides to use as much military POWER as possible to blast enough of Iran back into the stone ages, without a war declared? I have an idea. Congress should quickly pass a very simple law, saying that it is LEGAL to wiretap, without the need for any warrants, any incoming or outgoing messages to or from any foreign country! This POWER to the American people can be seen as quite like the putting up of a fence on our southern and northern borders. Foreigners don't have ANY POWER, any RIGHTS, under our Constitution---it only applies to Americans! I know, this is extreme, but we live in extreme times. Of course, this would hinder a lot of international communications between good guys, not to mention Americans abroad calling the homeland. Maybe, someday, if/when horrendous uses of POWER by the bad guys shocks us into survival mode, the civilized world will decide to one by one split into the good or bad camps, using identity cards or whatever. The vulgar form of this present lowlife human reality is based in identification, differentiation and desire, after all, and AS It-All. So, why not use this trinity of It-All? I can see how it might happen. The free people who want to stay alive, will eventually be driven to a corner with no escape, except coming clean and, with nothing VITAL to hide, the life-saving DESIRE will be unstoppable to DIFFERENTIATE by transparently IDENTIFYING themselves. "I'm Joe Blow and I'm proud of it!" THEN, with the Big Split as an expression of the Big Bang a fait accompli, the mass of people in the GOOD-GUY camp will be instantly separated from the sub-humans in the BAD GUY camp---and the latter scumbags will be easily isolated and eliminated. THEN, mankind can get on with living in tolerance and cooperation, which will give us all the possibility to live long enough to mature into higher stages of growth, even into the Enlightened seventh stage. THEN, when we come to a more and more profound Understanding about the Identification-Differentiation-Desire "CROSS" we choose to be nailed to, we can work to Transcend it, and live in and AS the Only ONE!
