In the Water?
A few loose ends.
Bush won Ohio by something like 130,000 votes. What if, somehow, Kerry had managed to squeak by, a la Bush in Florida, circa 2000? Then, Kerry would have only won 21 states, a bare majority of electoral votes, while Bush would have won the popular vote by over 4 million! In 2000, it was all the rage for Dems to cling to the assuaging fact that Gore barely won the popular vote, which kept their "Bush stole the election!" charge, to this day. If the opposite, as said above, had happened, well---
Here's another thing I bet doesn't become well known. It seems that after counting all the absentee ballots and all the rest of the loose ends that Bush won by 4.5 million, so the spread was FIVE points, 52% to 47%! You can be certain that liberal spin meisters will try to keep alive the notion that Kerry " ONLY" lost by 3%, at 51% to 48%. Three percent is a small enough margin that it seems plausible for lefties to argue that Bush didn't get a mandate. But with a FIVE percent margin, you can proudly say, if you're a Republican, that it wasn't even, REALLY, a close race. Not only that, but even though Dems must begrudge that Bush did win a majority, at 51%, it is still only ONE percent above the half way point. But, at 52%, especially keeping in mind the 47% Kerry got, it is a lot harder to deny that a clear majority of Americans wanted Bush.
Besides, it's always good to imagine the outcome in FLIP-FLOP terms. That is, what if it all came out exactly the opposite? Why, liberals would be in hog heaven, with their MSM brethren leading the chorus, basically plastering the noosphere with repeated and repeated, ad nauseum, statements about what a HUGE MANDATE Kerry would have! To fill out this thought experiment, also assume the Congress was also reversed. Just think what kinds of Big Government mischief Kerry's gang could pull off!
What's in the WATER?
Here's a fresh angle to look at the liberal vote. Aside from the south and the southeast, notice that all the blue states are bordered by WATER. With the exception of Ohio, in the northeast, there's a perfect cordon from Lake Superior through all the other Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway down the Atlantic seaboard through Maryland, that semi encircles our liberal plantation, to the east. On the left coast, Hawaii and Oregon, Washington, and California are likewise bound by the sea. Can't you just see Churchill, as he described the Iron Curtin, and how this idea would apply to our brainwashed fellow Americans? A Far-Left Curtin?
Here's a quick thought about the relevance of 'water'. Perhaps the key aspect of the 'water' dimension is that most of those people who vote Democratic are in very urbanized areas. In the south and southeast, most of the oceanfront is sparsely populated. Therefore, compared to someone who never sees or enjoys a BEACH--- no son of a beach, there!---such as residents of a Kansas, the people on the 'coasts' would, by geography, necessarily feel more concerned about attack from an enemy.
In short, they are more vulnerable, and so the urge to band together and rely on a government to protect them, would be de rigueur.
Think of American land as a mother. The babes in the center of this land mass are like babies who are very safely held in their momma's arms, with the vast expanse of land between them and the ocean's similar to the walls put up in medieval times, to keep the enemy out. The babes on the coasts, on the dangerous other hand, might resemble abused children, who were too soon put into fearful situations.
Gott stop, now, and think about this more.

Constructive Thoughts
From the " Building, Dwelling, Thinking" chapter, in Basic Writings, by Heidegger---
"But if we listen to what language says in the (German) word BAUEN (meaning, normally, 'to build' in English) we hear three things:
Building is really dwelling.
Dwelling is the manner in which mortals are on the earth.
Building as dwelling unfolds into the building that cultivates growing things and the building that erects buildings.
If we give thought to this threefold fact, we obtain a clue and note the following: as long as we do not bear in mind that all building is in itself a dwelling, we cannot even adequately ASK, let alone properly decide, what the building of buildings might be in essence. We do not dwell because we have built, but we build and have built because we dwell, that is, because we are DWELLERS. But in what does the essence of dwelling consist? Let us listen once more to what language says to us. The Old Saxon WUON, the Gothic WUNIAN, like the old word BAUEN, meant to remain, to stay in a place. But the Gothic WUNIAN says more distinctly how this remaining is experienced. WUNIAN means to be at peace, to be brought to peace, to remain in peace. The word for peace, FREIDE, means the free, DAS FRYE; and FRY means preserved from harm and danger, preserved from something, safeguarded. To be free actually means to spare. The sparing itself consists not only in the fact that we do not harm the one whom we spare. Real sparing is something POSITIVE and takes place when we leave something beforehand in its own essence, when we return it specifically to its essential being, when we 'FREE' it in the proper sense of the word into a preserve of peace. To dwell, to be set at peace, means to remain at peace within the free, the preserve, the free sphere that safeguards each thing in its essence. THE FUNDAMENTAL CHARACTER OF DWELLING IS THIS SPARING. It pervades dwelling in its whole range. That range reveals itself to us as soon as we recall that human being consists in dwelling and, indeed, dwelling in the sense of the stay of mortals on the earth.
But 'on the earth' already means 'under the sky'. Both of those ALSO mean 'remaining before the divinities' and include a 'belonging to men's being with one another'. By a PRIMAL oneness the four---earth and sky, divinities and mortals---belong together in one."
Pages 326-327
"This simple oneness of the four we call the FOURFOLD. Mortals ARE in the fourfold by DWELLING. But the basic character of dwelling is to spare, to preserve. Mortals dwell in the way they preserve the fourfold in its essential being, its presencing. Accordingly, the preserving that dwells is fourfold.
Mortals dwell in that they save the earth---taking the word in the old sense still known to Lessing. Saving does not only snatch something from danger. To save really means to set something free into its own essence. To save the earth is more than to exploit it or even wear it out. Saving the earth does not master the earth and does not subjugate it, which is only one step from boundless spoliation.
Mortals dwell in that they receive the sky as sky. They leave to the sun and moon their journey, to the stars their courses, to the seasons their blessing and their inclemency; they do not turn night into day nor day into a harassed unrest.
Mortals dwell in that they await the divinities as divinities. In hope they hold up to the divinities what is un-hoped for. They wait for intimations of their coming and do not mistake the signs for their absence. They do not make the gods for themselves and do not worship idols. In the very warmth of misfortune they wait for the weal that has been withdrawn.
Mortals dwell in that they initiate their own essential nature--- their being capable of death as death---into the use and practice of this capacity, so that there may be a good death. To initiate mortals into the essence of death in no way means to make death, as the empty nothing, the goal. Nor does it mean to darken dwelling by blindly staring toward the end.
In saving the earth, in receiving the sky, in awaiting the divinities, in initiating mortals, dwelling comes to pass as the fourfold preservation of the fourfold. To spare and preserve means to take under our care, to look after the fourfold in its essence. What we take under our care must be kept safe. But if dwelling preserves the fourfold, where does it keep the fourfold's essence? How do mortals make their dwelling such a preserving? Mortals would never be capable of it if mortals were merely a staying on earth under the sky, before the divinities, among mortals. Rather, dwelling itself is always a staying with THINGS. Dwelling, as preserving, keeps the fourfold in that with which mortals stay: in THINGS.
Staying with things, however, is not merely something attached to this fourfold preservation as a fifth something. On the contrary: staying with things is the only way in which the fourfold stay within the fourfold is accomplished at any time in simple unity. Dwelling preserves the fourfold by bringing the essence of the fourfold into THINGS. But things themselves preserve the fourfold ONLY WHEN they themselves AS things are let be in their essence. How does this happen? In this way, that mortals nurse and nurture things that grow, and specially construct things that do not grow. Cultivating and construction are building in the narrower sense. DWELLING, inasmuch as it keeps the fourfold in things, is, as this keeping, a BUILDING."
Pages 328-329
What does this all have to do with the price of an election?
I think if one reads it slowly, with the present dangers in Iraq, for one, and the current hellish state of the Democratic Party, for another THING, it's possible to DWELL in a realistically CONSTRUCTIVE attitude that will SPARE us all from all the either willfully stupid or blindly ignorant ranting going on.
Whether it's from got-it-made elites, or fanatic losers, like a Dan Rather in the first case, and Vassar Arafat in the second, pay them no heed. They were never about CULTIVATING or CONSTRUCTING.
Consider the Heidegger quotes to be POSITVE aspects of IT-ALL---the CREATOR God and the PRESERVER God. The other fellows, oh so NOT mellow, represent the DESTROYER God. They work for NO THINGS.

OUTCOMES Matter!
Why can't I get November 2000, out of my mind? Can it really be four event-filled years since we suffered through the almost stolen, by Gore, election? I vividly remember the excruciating and infuriating weeks we all went through, when the nation's survival depended on a Bush win.
And, now, here we are, after all that's taken place, with an election outcome that SHOULD be accepted as a clear victory for Bush. But, will the Left's leaders, the movers and shakers, wake up, and stop the obstructionism? Even more importantly, in terms of the future, will the agenda shapers, who power that side of the political spectrum, get off their hippy high horse?
As I've continued to read all about the elections and the opinions of so many people, on the Right---their opinion movers and shakers---after almost three days, the hot topic seems to be, "What's next for the Democratic Party?" Will it change from the " Demagogic Trick" party?
DEMOGRAPHY rules
At any specific space-time, DEMOGRAPHICS rules. With this overarching truth, I flashed back, way back, to the time when Neo-Conservatism was born, and compared that with what may happen, now.
A lot has been written about the takeover of power by those who grew up in the sixties. Nowadays, the regnant power structure is essentially manned by anti-war un-veterans, by people who were against the Vietnam War. Mightn't it be possible that a new movement, by more and more of the population, who are in that camp, will mimic what the Neo-Cons did?
What's possible? The first fact is that people are getting older and older, so a lot of those still clinging to power, like a Dan Rather, will soon retire, and die. But, what I'm getting at is the following---
Why not have a MARGIN "CALL"? That is, why can't a righteous schism occur in the Far Left "church", similar to what happened when people like Irving Kristol and his type flipped from being pro-communist, back in the 1930's? After all, right now we have David Horowitz and P.J. O'Rourke, among others, to show the way. Why couldn't the big change be in this direction?
Here's WHY
OUTCOMES MATTER!
It could well be that 2004's election OUTCOME is the tipping point in this BIG DEAL. Think of it as both a confirmation and a prediction of the right things done, and to be done.
What if? Give ( BAD!) credit to the clinging-to-power Old Media, the MSM. Despite their happy inability to influence a majority to vote for Kerry, there's no doubt that they had, and still have, caused people to believe a lot of what they flood the noosphere with. And, what if a whole lot of it is exactly the opposite of the truth?
Here's the nub of the argument. Way too many wrong ideas are held by way too many people. What's the solution? The Republican victory! Why? With the passage of time and the proper application of proper policies with adequate power, in foreign and domestic dimensions, GOOD OUTCOMES are likely.
Consider "Iraq" as an example of all the 'problems' outside the US. By not going wobbly, but instead USING POWER, what if things improve, more and more, so that the bad news/good news ratio flips? Right now CW is that things are going badly in Iraq. I don't think it's one tenth as bad as believed, since so much good news has been stifled by the MSM, because it would have hurt Kerry. But, say the insurgents in Fallujah are bested, and other holdouts are likewise wasted, and elections are held in January. What are all the nattering naysayers, like Jude Wanniski, Frances Fukayama and all the rest, going to say, when Iraq becomes a success story?
It's the OUTCOME, stupid!
Just so wrt to domestic OUTCOMES. What are the old time lefties going to do when the real good times start to really roll, in terms of economics? If Bush even gets half of what he wants, I bet you the unleashed American economic machine will really start to hum. There is STILL too much socialistic sand in the gears! For instance, consider the effects yet to come from the dividend tax law. Then, imagine that effect multiplied by TEN. In short, if/when the flood gates are opened for laws that stop the taxation and unwise regulation of capital, why we might actually become the " capital" nation we were born as.
Whence the old-time 'hippies', when these good OUTCOMES come to pass?
Pride may goeth before a fall, but a slew of mea culpas is surely in the offing.
One last thing. What do you think is going through the minds of all those enemy dictators out there, from Iran to North Korea to where ever? Maybe Bush will be able to " Ghadafi" them, like the liberals Borked Bork!
Cherish and cultivate these OUTCOMES!
Then, when another four years have done their duty, in 2008, America and the world will be ten times as far removed from 2004, as we are from 2000, now.
What will be the destiny of all the anti-war, blame-America-firsters? We'll find out how intelligent and awake they are, all the " Howard Dean's", if they change their tune, and say, a thousand times,
"I'M SORRY!!!"
If some of them don't, may I suggest a new monument, a Hall of Shame, where we can 'idolize' the holdout political Benedict Arnold's. Yes, we may need a huge bust of Kerry, with a mocking sign, saying, "Here was one of the last Benedict Arnold's of our time".

The Democratic's 4% UN-Solution
Sean Hannity waved the ultimate 'BLOODY FLAG' that perfectly shows how doomed the Democratic party has become, as of today.
He took the RED verses BLUE state American map-scape to the county level, and, WOW! It turns out that 96% of them were RED! Do you know what that means?
There are only 4% of American counties that had a majority of voters go for Kerry! Just think--- one out of TWENTY-FIVE of them, only.
We're bored, now, by the knowledge that liberal enclaves are on the two coasts and in large industrial cities. As someone who resides in the always-counted-on "Liberal" STATE, Oregon, albeit in a quite conservative city and county, that has always rubbed me the wrong way. I think there are some eye-popping realizations that can be drawn from looking at America through the COUNTY prism.
What is the most dominant difference between RED and BLUE counties? I'd venture to say that the population density of RED counties is quite low, and quite high for BLUE ones. What are the implications of that?
The packed, sardine-like, large cities and counties are very BLUE. People who choose to live in such very UN-wide-open spaces are never able to enjoy freedom from OTHER PEOPLE---" HELL", according to Jean Paul Sartre---which means the primary color of their 24/7 lives is SOCIAL. How to get along with all those too-close OTHER PEOPLE? This has to lead to an over-concern with SOCIETY, which easily transforms into a political belief in SOCIALISM.
Do you know how to cook beans? Consider pintos. First you soak them overnight, say 8-12 hours. Only then do you cook them for up to TWO hours. After all this, they are quite 'SOCIAL', going from hard-as-rock to soft-as-mush status. Consider humans. The analogy goes as follows---at one extreme, in the REDDEST of the RED counties, are the HARD 'pioneer' types, hard-bitten people who define themselves by their individuality, by their pride in needing no one else: those rugged individualists. At the other extreme, after many generations being 'SOAKED and COOKED' in close proximity with fellow BEANS in packed cities and counties, with the lid held on tight, are the SOFTIES, who always go for the liberal solution. You get the taste of my 'meal'?
What about VOTER FRAUD?
Here's where it is appropriate to continue the unraveling of the CHEATING story. Take a large county filled with very few people. To begin with, government itself will have a very low priority, because most of the citizens will be very self-sufficient. On the other hand, those packed places like Cook County, Illinois, will be almost overwhelmed by social concerns, which inevitable leads to the rise of a political boss and MACHINE, since government will be so vital.
The "Hanging Chad' PUNCH line!
You know what comes next, right? Voter Fraud is only cost efficient in places like Chicago and Philadelphia, and hence---- there it puts down roots and grows into a permeating BUSH, that destroys the voting integrity of its system.
On the MARGIN
Perhaps never has the " On the MARGIN" tool ever been more appropriate than wrt VOTER FRAUD. I would guess that in those 4% BLUE counties, which have a very large percentage of the population, something in the range of 5-15% of the votes recorded for DEMOCRATS are phony. Let me expand on this by taking the 90-10% 'normal' results from blacks into account. Most of them do live in those easily-manipulated and packed counties, so isn't it reasonable to presume that such an extreme 90-10% outcome is heavily 'influenced', illegally, by Democratic Party 'BOSSES'? Can you imagine, in a thought experiment, riding the light beam that is a Jesse Jackson, all the way through the black community, and see how possible it is for a hierarchy---a black 'Boss Tweed' machine--- to infect it? "We are all Keynesian's now" translates into "We are all Jackson's and Sharpton's now".
Here's a can of worms just dying to be opened, and exposed to the light of day. Just before the election, one of the big stories was that black support of Bush had almost doubled, to 18%. And, what was the 'official' result? The black community came through for Kerry, as it always has in the recent past, so how did that early prediction about 18% go missing, like the 'explosives' in Iraq? VOTER FRAUD.
John Fund was on C-Span just before the election. They re-played a speech he gave a month or so ago, promoting his book about voter fraud. The few examples he gave of how to ruin legal ballots were quite scary, showing how easy it is to commit fraud. However, he did end on a hopeful note, saying that by the next election in 2008, it's possible the worst of the rotten system could be fixed by having ATM-like voting. The most ignorant voters know how to use an ATM machine. Apparently, it could be technology that saves us, since such a system is tamper proof, and it gives a paper receipt with a unique number for each voter. And, after the election, all those numbers would be available on the Internet, with all the results from each voter tallied. Therefore, each voter could check their own secret number to be sure they were counted correctly.
Maybe it won't be too long before the tide of OPENESS and TRANSPARENCY perfects at least the mechanical parts of the VOTING SYSTEM, so that physical voter fraud becomes a thing of the past. I predict that if this happens, we'll find out that around ten percent of the Democratic core of around 43% will disappear, having always been GHOST votes, leaving this socialistic party with its real solid 33% fringe types, only.
Then, can you say, " Is that all there is?" wrt to that soon-to-be Whig Party type, buried and gone?

HAPPILY WRONG!
Maybe there is hope, after all. In spite of the best WORST efforts of all the MSM priests, most importantly, the false report of exit poll results as last night wore on, a whole lot of GOOD news was MADE by voters. What a hard CHOICE, with a fierce headwind blowing against them, as the old guard gave it one last blasting gasp, which will, perhaps, prove to be the inflection point where they fade and die as a major force.
I stand by my previous understanding that an open and honest election with an unbiased media would have given Bush 60%, or more, of the vote. Don't forget the statement by that elite maven from Newsweek (?) that the media automatically gives Democrats a 15% edge. Let's see. Bush officially got 51%, so add 15% to that, and what do you know? We arrive at the magical 66%, which tells me that the true and distilled character of the American public is a whopping TWO THIRDS Right Wing!
Let us work for a quick move in consciousness by those confused people in the 15% club.
Just imagine a day when a veto-proof 60% plus of Congress--- and, hey, why not ALL elected officials in America--- are firmly to the right of center. Even better, let's look forward to the day when those hard core lefties in the ONE THIRD tiny minority come to know, fully, how out of power they are---and will be, for the rest of their miserable lifetime!
There are two complementary JOYS flowing from Bush's victory, sharply spiced by the welcome defeat of Daschle.
First, Gott sei dank, we don't have to put up with Kerry, but we do get four more years of Bush. This means a lot of good can be accomplished instead of a lot of evil.
Second, never has schadenfreude been more appropriate! NEVER! Just let your mind roll across the globe and get inside the skin of all the a-holes who hated Bush. From wicked dictators to deluded and powerless fools, can't you just FEEL their PAIN?
Well, one of the prerequisites to waking up and actually changing your BAD ACTS is going through a CRISIS. The prolonged sufferings of so many of those who hate America is just the ticket---may they enjoy the ride to the RIGHT SIDE.
On that glorious MARGIN in the noosphere, let's be part of the solution that turns around those who are vulnerable. I am the living embodiment of a leftie slapped around by reality who flipped to a rightie. If I can do so, why can't the difference-making 15%?

If/When Kerry Wins
Right now the mood sure seems to favor Kerry winning. I just went back and re-read some of my own takes on the political scene, especially the one about " The Fix is In!", predicting a Kerry victory.
Assume the liberal does win. There are two realms to take into account. In domestic terms, he should be as stymied as Clinton ever was by a Republican Congress, so in terms of any major changes, not too much should happen. Short, that is, of trying to appoint as many liberal Supreme Court justices as possible. Maybe we'll have something like what happened to Bork, for Lawrence Tribe, etc, as Republicans hold the line. I wouldn't count on it, but it's possible.
As for foreign policy, though, I predict Kerry will make Carter look like a hero. Count on a revitalized terrorist movement and bad results worldwide, probably even on American soil. Who said America wouldn't wimp out like Spain? And, then, along came Iran, North Korea, and all their 'cousins'.
Also, look for dirt to emerge on Kerry, finally, after the election, that will make him cringe. Can he, as President, cover up his other-than honorable discharge much longer? I doubt it. If you think the Swiftees are going away, if/when he gets elected, think AGAIN!
THE BIGGER PICTURE---I guess
If Bush is thrown out, there are two possible upsides.
One, Kerry gets to be President and his utter fecklessness and bad history are exposed, ASAP. Thus, almost from the get-go---can you say a min-second-long honeymoon?---he will be a lame duck faux President. It will be funny to see all the extreme boorish Michael Moore types twist in the wind! Their "Woe is me!" will be turned upon them, with painful pricks! Maybe IT-ALL needs to really experience a Kerry-in-action in order to re-order its UNDERSTANDINGS. And, maybe this will be what does in the modern Democratic THIEVING Party.
Two, in four years, after Kerry completes the destruction of the Democratic Party, Bush will be able to run again. If---and it is certainly a BIG if---America survives, without any, or maybe just a few BAD ATTACKS, on her soil and people, after the results from Kerry being in charge are painfully obvious, then a super majority of people will do their own mea culpas, and BEG Bush to continue, and FINISH, the job he started.
Even so, it's going to be worse than putting up with Clinton. On the bright side, for yours truly, maybe I'll be freed up from addiction to politics enough by needing to avoid KERRY, as I did CLINTON, so that I can grow beyond my present level. Same same for many others.
Every death opens a door, to screw up an old saying.

Another Mask Comes Off
Mort Zuckerman, Jim Cramer and the man from Gallup just predicted Kerry would win. Kudlow held out for Bush.
A dash of VERY cold water for those of us who are SURE Bush will win!
NOBODY knows who will win, but it sends chills up my Freedom-loving spine to hear those guys offer their 'experienced' opinion. Do they know what I know, that liberals will find a way to steal it, no matter what? And they are too smart to ever say anything like that in public, because it would ruin them as KOOKS?
Of course---they've got it made, so smugness prevails. What a prevailing stinking WIND!
I hope they're proven wrong, BIG TIME!

"Explosive" October Surprise Works!
It seems like the phony "Lost Explosives" story promulgated by MSM has worked!
THERE'S your October Surprise!
As one of those using the Internet who soon found out what a scam it was, it is dismaying to find out that the MSM still has brainwashing power.
Despite the New Media's scoffing at this blatant attempt to AGAIN try to STEAL an election, it seems that the old farts still have the VOODOO power to manipulate some big majority of voters. How sad!

Get Out the Vote?
Just saw Ken Mehlman on Kudlow & Cramer bragging about the unprecedented "get out the vote" effort by his Republican organization. I think he mentioned something about 18 million phone calls.
I, alone, have received five or six calls in the last week or two!
I wonder if they take such multiple calls into account. A few of them were recordings from my Senator, etc, which I recorded on my answering machine.

The BIG Question---How Many Stolen Votes?
As I type this, it's approaching high noon, here, on the left coast. In about four hours the results from closed precincts should be available. As Don Luskin notes today, the betting markets should be showing about an 80% probability that Bush will win, this close to the end.
Why isn't this so? Here are some thoughts.
After years of corporate scandals following 2000's Florida fiasco, spiced by the unprecedented 527 acts, the blatant efforts of MSM to manipulate voters, et al, I just wonder if a 50-50 prediction isn't perfectly justified.
I'm a big John Fund fan, when it comes to his book about stealing elections. Maybe this is the huge gorilla in every precinct. Did you read about the thousands of pre-registered votes found on some machines in Philadelphia? A tip of the iceberg? Can't you imagine the Democratic 'get out the vote' effort using this sneaky and ILLEGAL action, in tandem with all the other nefarious means at their disposal, countervailing the putative lead Bush has?
Another thing---I read that there are some 193,000 polling places. And the 'huge' number of lawyers that liberals already have in the field is a paltry 10,000? I wonder how many Republicans are out there, in any position to verify the election results in those polling places. Is there somebody in each polling place to stop fraud? I doubt it.
Overconfident Republicans had better not take anything for granted.
I bet it's this--- voter fraud---that is what's behind the closeness of the race, even on this election day. If Bush even has a better REAL outcome---say 54% Bush, 45% Kerry, 1% other---, who's to know if the liberals can't produce enough 'dead men' votes to put Kerry in the White House? And, mind, this is on top of the litigation threat.
Yup. I can't wait for the evening's news! I sure hope I'm wrong.

A Non Sequitur
Here's a non sequitur for you.
What does my---or your---life have to do with the big picture?
Excuse my take, but allow me to relay some of the HIGH news from the subbing 'weather' front. Last Thursday morning, I got a call to replace a sixth grade teacher in the historic town of Jacksonville---something I never expected. Turned out she'd had a minor auto accident and I 'got to' spend the next three days with her class.
Sixth graders, maybe especially at the beginning of the year---like now---are still in ELEMENTARY school. So, it was quite a trick---or a TREAT---to spend some time-dragging quality time with them. What's the point?
While we live through the unknown-to-all next few days, after which Bush should win (I almost wrote 'beats Kerry', but I/m so sick of him!), it was good to be surrounded with so many lively 'fresh' bloods.
What 'follows' may seem illogical, but I---as the ONE that I am---(ha, ha) am comforted by the one-on-one eyeball-to-eyeball JOY I got to BE, with each of the humans I spent time with, to predict that the good guy will win---and, decisively.
I understand that despite the closeness of the race, to wit that 'it's within the blah blah blah', that Kerry could very well win. My firm angry belief is that this is only possible if Democrats manage to stuff ballot boxes. And excuse my dust, but somehow---maybe because I'm too full of right wing 'rah rah' words---it seems to me that Bush will win.
Hmmm? Something like 88% of the public EXPECTS Bush to win. With a MERE 2% polling margin? Ooooh. Perhaps THERE IT IS!
There are functions, and then there are functions OF FUNCTIONS. There are polls, and there are polls of POLLS---and I don't mean the lower math types, like at realclearpolitics.com. Remember GIGO? Polling gigolos?
It could well be that my 'raw' experience the last three school days with future Americans parallels the election. Do you follow?
The LIGHT is shining. Just as the eye must adapt to bright light, so does it seem like the noosphere must take its time to transform AND transcend what passes for CW, as still defined by all the Dan Rathers of the world.
Just think? We still have a senile Walter Cronkite so full of hubris---living in 'Vietnam' after Tet?---a legend in his own mind, spouting off the most outrageous stuff!
Where's the OUTRAGE?
Gosh, Bam, Gee Whiz! That such as Uncle Walter 'Mitty" Cronkite and his progeny, Michael Moore, et al, with impunity, 'teach' US, is not only OUTRAGEOUS, but in a happy way, purely OUTRAGEOUS! They are, themselves, our OUTRAGEOUS lesson!

Truth In VOTING
Remember the Permanent Campaign, the un-gift of Clinton? The War Room? Carville and Begala? All the innovations that took Machiavelli's "The Prince" into the end of the last century, and now the 21st century, had a long eight years to put down roots. And, since Clinton was an especially egregious character, with an almost daily eruption of dastardly deeds for his handlers to deal with, to ply their trade on, to hone these new skills with, we are left with the irrepressible widespread legacy, ourselves, to DEAL WITH.
I think it's possible that the crisis that is VOTING-CORRUPTION is coming to a head. After all, there is an ideal to aim for, which is a 100% honest and true outcome, wherein each LEGAL and ELIGIBLE voter gets to choose to vote, or not, and their ballot is counted, and all those fraudulently cast votes are winnowed out.
So, maybe it's a good thing for many thousands of lawyers, and as many other poll watchers as possible, to stand watch over the entire system, precinct by precinct, down to ballot by ballot.
Think about this. What if the system was purged of all illegal votes, whether from dead men, Alzheimer patients, unregistered people, whether aliens or citizens, multiple voting, etc? When you take it personally, as I believe each honest voter should, what else is appropriate but anger and righteous indignation? The actual effect of the chicanery pulled off by CRIMINALS, who perpetrate such acts, wastes MY VOTE, and is essentially the worst kind of THEFT! And this theft isn't merely money. What else is more TREASONOUS, that to try to STEAL an election?
The worst TRUTH about the many ways mostly Leftists try to stuff the ballot box is that if it's not checked, and reduced to a NUISANCE, at least, and stopped totally, at best, it will eventually lead to the destruction of democracy. Hey, it's my belief that we are NOW living a mostly SHAM democracy, and all the fake belief in the SYSTEM is in-your-face evidence of living in DENIAL.
Take the ultimate canard that Leftists always use to malign Rightists who want to keep all the illegal voting from happening---that they are trying to suppress the black vote. It's time to " Ann Coulter" this racist trick! Here is where the Right should rise up in total anger, and scream, a la Carville, " How dare you imply that?!!!" Tell them, with red-faced power, that it is THEY who are the RACISTS, because it's true.
Actually, a sort of truce could be reached. The Right could simply repeat, over and over again, as an HONEST-VOTING mantra, that they want BOTH only eligible voters to vote AND that no one who wants to vote should be disenfranchised. In fact, the Right should trump the Left, in this spurious Leftist automatic rebuttal, by once more invoking the "HOW DARE YOU!" pose. That is, outflank them by HONESTLY saying they are MORE interested in getting out the black vote than THEY, the Leftists are, and acting upon it. Imagine how flummoxed the black community would be, and how such an act would drive Liberals to gasping heart attacks!
Rightists could kill two OLD BIRDS in one TELLING swoop. Perfect the rotten VOTING SYSTEM, and make deep inroads into the black community, by waking up more and more of its members to the fact that they belong OFF the Liberal plantation, and IN the Right wing tent. Just imagine that!
So, I say, bring 'em on! The lawyers, that is. Remember what Sean Connery's character said in the movie about Elliot Ness---" If the enemy brings a knife, you bring a gun. If he brings a gun, you bring a machine gun." Or words to that effect. The loser Leftists warn about unleashing myriad lawsuits in close elections? What should 'poor' Rightists do, roll over and cry uncle? Heaven NO! The time has come to UP the ante, and not only fight back with RE- ACTIONS, but to PRE- EMPT, by whatever legal means necessary, the growing attempts by Leftists to completely destroy America, from within, through using their corrupt VOTING SYSTEM.
What is not proscribed should be DONE!
